Lately I have been chowing down on fruit like there’s no tomorrow. Oranges, can’t get enough of them, apples, oh so delicious! I always have trouble getting my kids to eat enough fruit, I’m sure some of you can relate. One day I said we could have fruit salad for dessert, they weren’t sure about it, but thought it sounded fun. Well, I can’t get my son to stop eating it! Which is good, because by the time I cut up 4 different kinds of fruit, that’s a LOT of fruit salad.
Pretty much every morning I make a fruit salad for me and my little guy. Today I decided to kick mine up a notch and made it “nutty”. Actually more seedy than nutty, but nutty fruit salad sounded better than seedy fruit salad.
Fruit salad is so simple and so delicious, you really can’t go wrong, cut up your fruit of choice, put it in a bowl and BAM, fruit salad. Fruit is so delicious on its own, you don’t need to add anything else, you can, but you don’t really need to.
handful of strawberries
1/4 of a pineapple
handful of pumpkin seeds
handful of sunflower seeds
handful of almonds
Super simple, slice everything up, mix it together and enjoy! A couple tools that I absolutely LOVE for cutting up fruit is my pineapple slicer, apple slicer and my orange slicer. Makes the job so quick and easy!

I am married with two beautiful children ages 7 & 5. I am also a fulltime photographer and have been interested in food, since, well always! I began to take a registered Holistic Nutrition course, which I thought, hey why not start a blog about it and real food. On my blog you will find a little of everything. With loving food, I try not to restrict anything from my diet, but look at making foods healthier with using ingredients as close to nature as possible and as far from processed as I can.
